Leah Powell is a freshman with big dreams.
The Evans High School pitcher hopes to one day play NCAA Division I softball.
Evans Diamond Williams named Co-player of the year for Region 3-AAAAAA

Evans had three players (infielder Morgan Johnson, outfielder Kayla Hutchinson and pitcher Leah Powell) on the first team. Second Team members included Sydney Baker, Jillian Wombles, Sam Davis.  Honorable Mention players were Breanna Myers and Brooke Hayes .

The Lady Knights got the season off to a hot start with a 3-1 weekend at the Rumble at the Ridge tournament.  The Knights defeated Lanier, Newton and Buford.  The loss came at the hands of AAAAAAA power Lambert.  Leah Powell led the way in the circle and at the plate as she homered 3 times in the 4 games.  Mo Johnson also provided a HR over the weekend and Diamond Williams Collected 6 hits during the 4 game span.
